Nicaragua has the second largest rainforest in the Americas. Almost 20% of the country is protected as national parks or biological reserves. The climate in Nicaragua varies. The Pacific lowlands are always very hot, with light fresh air. Whereas the Caribbean is still very hot but wet. Along with having the second largest rainforest in the Americas Nicaragua also has two active volcanoes!
